General conditions
of payment and service use

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of all wellness, therapeutic, recovery, and professional health-related services (the “Services”), as well as gift cards provided by Made of Rituals Inc. (“Made of Rituals,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By booking or using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services are intended solely for wellness, relaxation, prevention, and therapeutic support. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and are not a substitute for care provided by a licensed physician or other healthcare professional. If you have a medical condition or are under medical supervision, it is your responsibility to consult your healthcare provider before using our Services.

01. Booking & Payment

  • All Services must be booked in advance via our online platform or by phone.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking. Bookings without payment are not confirmed.

  • We accept major credit cards and other payment methods listed on the platform.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice; the rate at the time of booking applies.

  • Any attempt to dispute or reverse a payment (chargeback) without valid cause will be treated as fraud, and we reserve the right to pursue recovery of fees, legal costs, and damages.

02. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment or no-shows will be charged 100% of the service fee.

  • Emergencies or unforeseen events may be considered at our discretion, but we are not obligated to waive fees.

  • Frequent last-minute cancellations may result in suspension of booking privileges.

03. Therapist Assignments

  • We work with licensed massage therapists & therapists, including both independent contractors and employees. 

  • Made of Rituals acts as a booking and coordination platform for certain therapists.

  • We do not guarantee the availability of a specific therapist.

  • Made of Rituals is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent contractors except as required by law.

04. Therapist Arrival & Session Conditions

  • Your therapist will arrive approximately 10–15 minutes before your session to set up.

  • Clients must ensure a quiet, clean, safe, and accessible environment with sufficient space for equipment.

  • If the environment is unsafe, unhygienic, or inappropriate, the therapist may refuse service, and the full service fee will still apply.

  • Any misconduct, harassment, or sexual behavior will result in immediate termination of the session without refund and may be reported to authorities.

05. Health & Safety

  • By booking, you represent that you:

  • Have disclosed all relevant health conditions and history via our intake form or directly to your therapist before the session.

  • Do not have any condition that contraindicates therapy, or you have obtained medical clearance from your healthcare provider.

  • Therapists and practitioners reserve the right to refuse or adapt treatment if it may compromise your health or safety.

  • Our Services are for wellness and therapeutic purposes only. They do not replace professional medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

06. Delays & Interruptions

  • If a therapist is delayed due to traffic or unforeseen events, you will be notified promptly, and the session will be adjusted or rescheduled as needed.

  • If the client is late, the session may be shortened but will still be charged at the full fee.

  • If a session is interrupted due to client misconduct or unsafe conditions, no refund will be issued.

07. Gift Cards & Promotions

  • Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

  • They are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • Gift cards may be transferred to another person but may not be resold.

  • Gift cards are valid only for Services provided by Made of Rituals.

  • Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.

  • Promotional offers cannot be combined unless stated otherwise.

  • Membership perks and discounts apply only to active members in good standing.

08. Refund Policy

  • Confirmed sessions are non-refundable, except as permitted under our cancellation policy.

  • If you are dissatisfied with a Service, you must notify us within 48 hours. While refunds are not offered, we may, at our sole discretion, provide service credit or another resolution.

  • Refunds or credits will not be issued if the client fails to provide accurate health information, safe premises, or appropriate conduct.

09. Non-Solicitation of Therapists

  • When booking through Made of Rituals (via website or telephone), you agree to use our platform exclusively for reservations, communications, and questions.

  • You agree not to contact therapists directly (by phone, SMS, email, or social networks) to book services or for any other purpose.

  • Any attempt to bypass Made of Rituals to book directly with a therapist may result in termination of your client account without refund and possible legal action.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Made of Rituals, its employees, and independent professionals are not liable for any injury, reaction, or medical issue arising from Services, except in cases of proven gross negligence.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring their premises are safe and suitable for treatment. We are not liable for property damage unless caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

  • Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the Service in question.

11. Responsibility for your Actions

  • By using our Services, you agree that Made of Rituals, its owners, and employees are not responsible for problems caused by your own actions, omissions, or misconduct.

  • If your actions (such as failing to disclose health information, providing an unsafe environment, or inappropriate behavior) result in a complaint, loss, or legal claim against Made of Rituals, you agree that you - not us - are responsible for those costs.

12. Professional Code of Conduct

Our Services are strictly professional, therapeutic, and non-sexual.

Any request or attempt to solicit sexual or inappropriate services will result in immediate termination, a permanent ban, and possible legal action.

Therapists and practitioners must also uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and client respect at all times.

13. Intellectual Property & Website Use

All content on our website (text, photos, videos, logos, design) is the exclusive property of Made of Rituals and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without written consent.

Unauthorized use of our brand, content, or materials may result in legal action.

14. Service Refusal & Policy Updates

Made of Rituals reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any client who does not comply with these Terms, our company policies, or our cancellation rules.

We may update or modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on our website. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Confidentiality & Personal Data

Made of Rituals collects and processes personal information that you provide when booking a Service, filling out an intake form, or communicating with us (such as your name, contact details, health information relevant to treatment, and payment details).

This information is collected only for the purposes of:

Managing bookings and payments.

Ensuring your safety during treatments by allowing therapists to adapt sessions to your health needs.

Improving our Services and client experience.
 

Your personal information is kept strictly confidential and is accessible only to authorized staff, contractors, or therapists who require it to deliver the Services.

We will not share your information with third parties except:

When required to process payments (e.g., secure payment providers).

When required by law.
 

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes listed above or as required by applicable law.

Under Québec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Bill 25) and Canada’s Consumer Privacy Protection Act (CPPA), you have the right to:

Access your personal information.

Request corrections.

Withdraw consent and request deletion, subject to legal or contractual limits.

16. Disclaimer of Warrantie

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Made of Rituals does not make any representations, conditions, or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, compatibility, security, accuracy, or usefulness with respect to the Services.
 

You agree to use the Services solely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for your use of the Services and for any loss or damages that may result.
 

While we take reasonable steps to ensure a safe and professional experience, Made of Rituals is not liable for any actions, omissions, statements, or representations made by therapists, whether employees or independent contractors.
 

Any claims or causes of action arising out of your interactions with a therapist or another client are solely between you and that therapist or client. Made of Rituals is not responsible for monitoring, validating, or enforcing any statements or commitments made by therapists outside of our platform.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Montréal, Québec.
